Making the car do as you want at a certain time takes time to master.

Most cars have 5 forward gears with 1 reversing gear. 1st gear gives you the most power this helps to move the car forward, as you car increases speed the gear is then changed up to match road speed, as the the car slows then the gear is changed down. Steering - Push and Pull
Holding the steering wheel loosely with your fingers wrapped around the outside of the wheel. The standard position of holding the steering wheel is left hand at the ten or nine o'clock position.Your right hand at the two or three o'clock position.

How to do an Angle Start
You will use this type of maneuvere when behind another vehicle, using clutch control, and good observations you will come out and around the vehicle, the car wants to be moving very slowly. A signal might be used even if you cant see anyone as this can help with the other road users hidden from view.

How to do a Down Hill Start
Prepare your car selecting a suitable gear.
No gas is used the foot brake is pressed down, handbrake is taken off. looking round as normal then releasing the foot brake the car will move down the hill, then smoothly bring up the clutch. |

Turning Right
When turning right you will most probably be crossing oncoming traffic. Caution is required. Checking mirrors before you signal,making sure its safe and showing your intentions. Move to the left of the centre of the road,slowing down changing gear to suit the new road. Looking at the oncoming traffic and your new road making sure its safe either turning behind oncoming vehicles or waiting, when safe turn into the new road.

How to do an Emergency Stop
If you plan ahead reading the road and drive to the correct conditions you will never have to do an emergency stop. If you do then react quickly bring your car to a stop, making sure its safe then move away. Watch the video for a full demonstration

How to Park Uphill
If you need to park on a hill facing uphill. Park close to the kerb, with your wheels turned away from the kerb. Make sure the handbrake is fully applied. Turn the engine off holding the steering wheel. Then place the gear into a forward gear such as 1,3,5.

How to Park Downhill
When parking downhill, park close to the kerb, turn your steering wheel towards the kerb. Make sure the handbrake is fully applied, turning the engine off while holding the steering wheel, place the gear lever into reverse.
